Joe Strasser

Profound local artist from Frenchtown, NJ, Joe Strasser, believes his environment has a lot to do with his work. The artist relocated a great deal before making Frenchtown his home. Moving from New Jersey, he then transitioned to living in a van on the beach in Hawaii, to a campground in Woodstock, Miami, and to Brooklyn (where he became recognized as a NY street artist in the streets of SOHO). Strasser lets the materials used guide him in the artistic process. Synchronicity, past lives, and paranormal phenomena are a few of the obsessive ideas embedded in his paintings.
