Theo Stieve

Theo Stieve, AKA King of Junk, was a multi-discipline visionary artist, who used whatever was at hand to get the job done.

From travels, hikes in the woods, urban exploration, Theo pulled from an endless available source of discarded, but still useful, found elements. He saw art and brought it to life- again. Bones, carcasses, aged wood, rusted metal, glass fabric etc.... further embellishing the pieces with paint, metal leaf, nature, seed pods, found objects, pieces brought back from travels...

Theo's work was inspired by industrial ruin, religions, ancient cultures, mythology, tribal art, punk rock, spiritualism, sex, death, noise, addiction, outsider expression, cities and nature.
