Jeff Goodling
Jeff Goodling is a skilled fiber artist who reimagines the forgotten and the overlooked. Working primarily with thrifted and secondhand objects—mirrors, plates, bowls, planters, vases, etc.- he transforms them through intricate macramé, weaving new life and meaning into everyday materials. Each piece becomes a conversation between object and fiber, form and function, past and present.
Guided by an intuitive sense of balance and texture, Jeff’s work blurs the line between craft and sculpture. The knots, cords, and loops of his macramé envelop and accentuate the objects he collects, turning the utilitarian into something poetic. What once sat quietly on a shelf now becomes an artful relic—suspended, wrapped, and reborn through his hands. His work is both a meditation on transformation and a testament to the enduring potential of objects to hold memory, connection, and care.
