SAM ADAMSKY

Sam Adamsky is a queer folk artist and mixed media illustrator whose work weaves together the seen and unseen. Drawing from traditions of folklore, dream imagery, and the natural world, her practice explores the liminal spaces where memory, imagination, and reality overlap. Her pieces often highlight themes of nature, the subconscious, and the persistent hauntings that echo through everyday life, inviting viewers into a world that feels at once familiar and otherworldly.

Working across mediums—from ink and paint to found materials and textiles—Sam uses layering, texture, and symbolism to create artworks that feel both intimate and expansive. Her visual language is deeply personal yet rooted in collective storytelling, reflecting her interest in how myths and private narratives intertwine. Whether through delicate illustrations or tactile mixed media works, she crafts images that linger, like fragments of half-remembered dreams.

Sam’s art is a practice of both excavation and offering, uncovering hidden emotional landscapes and giving them form. Each work becomes a vessel for contemplation, an invitation to pause and encounter the haunting beauty of what lies beneath the surface.
