Sharen Schulz's rattan-wrapped rocks merge organic materials and meditative craftsmanship, bridging the tactile beauty of nature with the intentional rhythm of human making.

Each piece begins with a found stone- its weight, texture, and shape guiding the weaving that follows. Sharen carefully wraps each rock in strands of rattan, creating intricate patterns that highlight both tension and harmony between the materials, and sometimes adorned with sticks, charms, crystals and more. The result is part sculpture, part relic- objects that feel timeless, grounding, and serene.

Rooted in repetition and patience, her practice explores the balance between control and surrender, permanence and fragility. Through her rattan-wrapped rocks, Sharen invites viewers to slow down and notice the quiet poetry in natural form, craft, and care.
